It's a Blessing to be an Outlaw

We celebrated Daddy's 70th birthday on May 10th in true Outlaw style!!  We met at Biloxi and spent the next 4 days celebrating and enjoying being together.  We have not all 5 been together in 2 1/2 years.  After Uncle Richard passed away, Daddy was not so certain that he would make it to 70 since Uncle Richard was by far, the healthiest Outlaw.  He was always walking, eating organic food, taking vitamins and living a healthy lifestyle.  Daddy had a triple bypass at 53, prostate cancer, another stent, and some other health issues.  We only wish Uncle Richard could have been with us to celebrate Daddy's 70 years of a wonderful life.  We laughed about the story Mr. Wright told at the memorial service about staying on the coast with Uncle Richard and trying to kill a chicken to eat.  It was "Daddy's Day" which is very rare, since his motto is "It's your day."  He wanted to celebrate his birthday lunch IN STYLE; OUTLAW STYLE that is!!  We invaded the Waffle House on the beach.  (I have NEVER seen so many Waffle Houses in my life!)  This one was on the beach and next to a BIG shark head.  We had a blast!!  We were joined each day by my friend of 24 years, Marcus.  He was our chauffeur, photographer, tour guide and all-around PERFECT honorary Outlaw!!  He admitted that he has felt cheated all of these years because he was not born an Outlaw.  We rode around and looked at the coast "post-Katrina."  It was shocking and sad to see so much empty land where beautiful old homes once stood.  We ate GOOD the whole time.  We took lots of pictures, and we laughed A LOT!!  It was a wonderful time!!  We switched to Mother's day celebration Friday night and Saturday, so Mama got to have "her day" too.  Hopefully some day soon we will all live closer, so we can have more of those fun times!!  Uncle Richard would have been proud!!
